What do you love about the Tampa Bay area?

The welcoming and generous tech community, and of course, the weather.
Moving to Florida without any friends or family was difficult at first, but the Tampa community, especially our Tribridge community, made me feel welcome and included. It is refreshing to be around like-minded people that truly care about their community and are so willing to help others succeed.

What are some of your favorite things to do around town when you aren’t working?

Networking! Whether attending meetups, conferences, or user groups, I enjoy meeting and interacting with members of the tech community. On the weekends, I catch up on reading and podcasts while at the park with my dog.

How do you give your time back in the community?

Through High Tech Connect, we created Tech Prep, which focuses on helping individuals that are graduating college, looking for new opportunities, or even changing career paths.
Technology-wise, I co-organize the Tampa Bay AWS and Azure User Groups, along with a few other community members. I am also a Committee Member for Children’s Cancer Center 3rd Annual Golf Madness.

Tell us about the tech project that you are most proud of.

During the acquisition of Tribridge, I was given the opportunity to co-lead our GDPR Assessment. This not only provided me with in-depth insights into each section of the business, but also the ability to implement and standardize new and existing processes, in accordance with the auditors and EU compliance regulations. As a result of the team’s efforts, our division passed the assessment and became GDPR compliant.
